A: Good morning/afternoon, everyone! I am greatly honored to be here for this interview. My name is XXX, 22 years old, come from Shaoxing city. Generally I will introduce myself from following 3 aspects.

Firstly, I’m a boy of hard working & perseverance, especially do the thing I am interested in. I’m always willing to try and will do my best to achieve it no matter how difficult it is. When I was a sophomore in university, I joined a national electronic design competition during summer vacation. Except the regular courses of my major, I also read some professional books of this field to equip myself with more knowledge, and join a lot of completions for practicing. As world is changing and technologies are in rapid development, I

realized what I’ve learned was not enough. It would be great if I can cont inue my interest in this field, that’s also the motivation for me to pursue further study with a master degree.

If luckily I get the chance to be enrolled, I will concentrate on the study and research of this field. As you know, three years is very short for an aspirant

pursuer for knowledge, so it’s necessary to make a good plan both for my academic research and future career.

Firstly, I will work hard to learn the theoretical knowledge, construct a solid base for my future work.

Secondly, I would like to do some practical work with during some team job or project, through which I can get something that cannot be acquired from the text books. If

time permits, I will also do some part-time job relevant to my major and in this way

I can put the theory into practice. I believe my dream will finally come true after 3 years campus life.

What do you expect to achieve during your study if you are enrolled into this institute?

Five years is quite a long time, I would like to divide it into two parts for my future plan.

In the first three years of postgraduate in this university, if I am admitted, I will spend our my efforts on the knowledge of my major and skills concerned, and try to learn more interpersonal skills at the same time. Equipping myself with related knowledge, I will get my master’s degree.

Then I will immense myself into the society in the next two years. I will find a job which I love and specialize in so that I can make my contribution. Meanwhile, I will not stop learning during job. In this way, I may keep progress and have a good future career development.

In a word, I am looking forward to setting a solid foundation for future profession after 3 years study here.

Why do you change your major?

I have shifted my major from electronic and information engineering to computer, mainly out of my interest. During the holidays, I got the chance to participate some

competition, during which I need to do some programming and then I was attracted deeply by it.

What’s more, there’s still some theory interlinked together between electronical engineering and computer major, so what I’ve learned can still be applied to computer subject.

Meanwhile, as world developing, programming has gained wide application. So gradually, I got the idea that I should try my best to learn computer. Now I look forward to enriching my knowledge of this field in our university.

I will graduate from Zhejiang Normal University Xingzhi College this June. Generally, four years studying there made me an independent and optimistic boy. I appreciate the education my university gave me.

In my opinion, normally university students are supposed to enjoy more freedom to develop themselves, through campus activities or social experience if possible. So with this concept, my teachers encouraged us to take part in lots of practice, which

is quite important to our major and also as a way to enrich our life.

Now I’m a senior student and is busying preparing graduation project, I believe upon graduation I will be equipped with abundant skills to face more unknown challenges.

My hometown is Shaoxing, which located in China’s eastern province Zhejiang, it is

an ancient city that possesses beautiful scenery. Known as the city of river, bridge, calligraphy etc., Shaoxing is an excellent choice for travelers for seeking and discovering Chinese culture and history. It attracts tourists from around the world. Shaoxing is also the hometown of many politicians, philosophers, authors, and scientists in Chinese history such as Lu Xun, one of the most well-known writers in Chinese history. His former residences and school are well-preserved in their

original traditional Chinese architecture.

Thanks to the government’s effort to protect the environment, our city is becoming more and more beautiful. I believe my hometown will definitely be prosperous in the future.

7) 你的家庭 (about family)

There are four members in my family; my parents, my elder sister and me.

My father is a carpenter and he is always busy with work. He is a very diligence person and like to study in his spare times, reading a lot of technical books to enhance skills and broaden his knowledge. He always said that it’s never too old to learn, he even started to learn some electrical courses when he was already 50 years old. I am quite admire him for this kind of spirit and would like to learn from him.

My mother is a hardworking housewife, she is a kind, gentle and diligent woman and most of the housework is done by her, of course, while I am at home, I would help her.

I love my parents and they love me, too.

During my preparation for graduate examination, the support from my family is always my momentum. Parents’ love is unselfish, I am deeply affected, so I will do all what I can to repay them.

I feel that my strongest asset is my ability to stick to things to get them done. I feel a real sense of accomplishment when I finish a job and it turns out just as I'd planned. Meanwhile, I also pursue high quality of work, trying to do as best as I can.

For example, when I was preparing the electrical competition, I kept on testing and programming until it turns out the result I want. Meanwhile, during the competition period, I also grasped every chance to test my little car（指竞赛时候的那个小车或者其他作品，可能不是用car, 待修改）in defined area.

With the spirit of perseverance, I think I can reach my goals step by step. As the

What is your greatest weakness? (你最大的弱点是什么?)

Everybody has his weakness, for myself, mainly weakness lies in following 2 aspects.

First, I' m such a perfectionist that I won't stop until a job is well done. Sometimes I cannot avoid some repeated job due to this habit, which will somehow impact my timeline. Though I am still in schedule finally, I may become quite tried to catch up the deadline. Meanwhile, I often devote nearly all the time in work, sometimes even forget to do excises.

Secondly, when the things are urgent for me, I may become anxious and somehow get myself in a mess.

I know these two habits are not good for me, so I found some solutions to improve it.

I always remind myself to keep thinking before doing and work out a reasonable plan at first. In this way, I can avoid some repeated job and make the whole project just in progress. I believe I can overcome my weakness and becoming better and better finally.

10) How do you feel about your progress today? （对于你至今所取得的进步你是怎样看的？）

To be frank, I made a great progress in the past few years with the help of my classmates and friends and under the guidance of my teachers as well.

In academic aspect, I acquired much basic knowledge of this field from text books and learnt how to solve problems with them. In other aspects, I took a lot of competition as a way to apply theory into practice. What’s more important, I learnt to work with the others and now I have a good sense of teamwork. I got along well with all my classmates and gained their friendship.

All in all, the 4 years campus life are really important for me. The progress I’ve achieved is the foundation of my future development.

Yes, it’s very important. It plays an indispensable role both in my academic study and future career. When I look for some learning material on-line for my research paper, the Chinese information is usually not enough, and thus the English information works as an essential compensation.

Furthermore, with the good English skills, one’s working efficiency will be greatly improved due to the reason that languages transition time is greatly shortened.

In a summary, as the world is under changing every day and international communication become more and more frequently, English is a vital connection to the world. Therefore, it is quite important that we learn English well.

重视给考官的第一印象
