It was my birthday last Thursday. I invited a few friends out to supper. I chose a restaurant in a quiet part of town. It is one of my favorite restaurants because the food is good and the waiters are friendly. Because few people know about it, it is not usually necessary to book (预订) a table.

A gift card is a card that is issued (发行) by a store. These cards are big money makers for stores.
