Scope

With a maximum force of 50 kN, a speed range of 1 : 100.000, and a maximum speed of 1.000 mm/min, RHEOLOGIC 5000-Twin is the top of the Ceast rheometers line.

This instrument satisfies the practical demands of the market, which requires a twin bore capillary rheometer for easy and automatic Bagley correction, comparative tests and high productivity

ESP feature

Basic VisualRHEO software includes E quilibrium S tress P rediction developed by Ceast. ESP features a completely new algorythm able to predict the achievement of the steady state pressure (or speed).

VisualRHEO has been developed based on CeastVIEW platform.

The extraordinary information organization, upon which the software VisualRHEO is based, makes the management of the test very simple and functional.

This software accessibility, together with the password management on three levels according to Module Operator and with the

availability to run the program in demo version, make the whole system perfectly suitable to the most advanced organization of laboratories.

The VisualRHEO software allows the operator to run the RHEOLOGIC 5000-Twin in fully automatic mode (according to ESP), or to “pilot”the system in semi-automatic mode with real-time manual intervention if and when necessary.

The patented automatic procedure based on the algorithm ESP (Equilibrium Stress Prediction) makes it possible to perform tests in fully automatic mode in order to reduce the test time, to save material and to free the operator from the obligation of standing in front of the instrument during the test.

By reducing test time so significantly, a number of positive advantages can be realised:

?uniform and objective determination of equilibrium stress state;?more time for analysis at low speeds which are best related to polymer structure;

?higher number of speed steps in the same material filling;?enhanced observation possibilities of materials which are unstable or have rapid degradation times;

?Minimized time to get results: this leads to the possible use of RHEOLOGIC 5000-Twin as an on-line/at-line rheometer.
