What We Can Do to Stay Away fromFlu

Recently, Dr. David Nabarro, A UN health expert, warned that a new flu pandemic(世界性的流感) could come anytime. And it could kill millions of

It could be so serious because it could be a type of bird flu. Bird flu has killed at least 65 people and tens of millions of birds in Asia since 2003.

Usually, the virus (病毒) does not pass from person to person. But experts believe this could change if the virus changes.

“If a person has human flu and also gets bird flu… the two kinds of flu could mix and make themselves into a more dangerous one,”said Aphaluck Bhatiasevi, a WHO(世界卫生组织) expert.

To deal with this possible new flu pandemic, the Chinese government will use four colours media---blue, yellow, orange and red--- to warn people about what may happen.

Blue means that a new flu virus has been found in some people. But they are not ill. These people will be put in hospital.

Yellow means people with the new virus have become ill. The government will tell people about it and give advice.

Orange is when the new flu spreads from human to human among a small group. Then people can call a special phone number to report outbreaks(爆发). Schools and factories will be closed.

Lots of people like diving into water, because they can explore the

underwater world. But there is another kind of diving. Some people dive

into the sky! This is really a very exciting sport. A skydiver goes high up

in the air on a plane. Then he jumps off the plane and floats(飘) in the air
