《商务英语写作》教学大纲for 企业用

一、课程的性质、地位和任务

《商务英语写作》是英语专业的专业必修课程。通过该门课程的学习,学生可以全面掌握商务英语写作的基本概念、基本理论、基本技巧,也可以巩固英语专业其它专业课程的学习,是一门实用性很强的课程。

通过本课程的教学,可以培养学生掌握商务英语写作的基础知识,商务英语书信的基本格式和写作技能,了解主要的商务英语写作类型,提高商务英语书面表达能力,为毕业后成为适应社会现代化建设需要的应用型涉外商务工作者打下良好的基础。

通过学习有关商务活动的实用语言材料和实际操练,学生应能独立撰写一般的英语商务函件和简单的商务报告和商务计划书等,意思表达清楚,用词比较准确,无重大语法错误。通过学习,学生能进一步提高基本的听、读、说、写、译的能力。

本课程实践、实习要求与能力要求

使学生熟悉熟悉常用商务英语文体的性质特点功能及写作技巧,进一步提高英语进行连贯的书面表达的能力。该课程既是知识的传授,更是一门指导学生用英语进行书面表达的实践课;目的在于训练学习能熟练掌握英语书信等商务文件的写作格式;能较熟练地运用英语商务书信中常用的表达方式能结合各种实际情况,撰写用词语气都能较清楚表达写作者意图的一般商业书信等商务文件。

五、本课程的教学方式与考核方法

1. 教学方式

商务英语写作要吧写作知识和写作技能训练与实际的业务活动相结合,不是孤立地讲写作,也不是孤立地讲商务知识,力求使一切努力落实到商务写作能力这点上。因此本课程采取案例教学和任务教学两种手段来开展商务写作教学。并在教学过程中渗透跨文化交际知识和交际中的伦理问题,因为商务活动范围的扩展,商务写作涉及的商务业务知识,传递信息的手段和使用的语言也在发生变化。

案例教学要给学生提供商务写作的实际事例,让学生通过分析、体悟、理解商务英语写作的思维特点,篇章结构、遣词造句的方式提高理性认识。任务教学要给学生设置在真实的商务交际场景下需要完成的任务,引导学生从任务的要求目标读者的预期、写作体裁的规范方面构思、写草稿和修改,活动商务写作为商务业务活动的直接体验。

2. 考核方法

《商务英语写作》课程的考核包括形成性考核和终结性考试。

1.形成性考核

《商务英语写作》课程形成性考核占课程总成绩的30%,成绩根据学生完成作业的情况、在课堂上的综合表现以及参加小组活动和其他学习中心组织的活动的情况综合而定。

2.终结性考试

《商务英语写作》课程的终结性考试占课程总成绩的70%,考试按教学大纲的要求进行,统一命题。考试内容应紧密结合所学教材,重点考核学生的写作能力。
