Popular music in America is what every student likes. Students carry small radios with earphones and listen to music before class, after class, and at lunch. Students with cars buy large speakers and play the music loudly as they drive on the street.

Adult drivers listen to music on the car radio as they drive to work. They also listen to the news about sports, the weather, and the life of American people. Most of the radio programmers are music.

There have been many great inventions that have changed the way we live. The first great invention was one that is still very important today- the wheel. This made it easier to carry heavy things and to travel long.

For hundreds of years after that there were few inventions that were as useful as the wheel. Then in the early 1800’s the world started to change. There was little

unknown land left in the world. People did not have to explore much further more.

In the second half of the 19th century many great inventions were made. Among them were the camera, the light and the radio. These all become a big part of our life today.

The first part of 20th century saw more great inventions: The helicopter in 1909, movies with sound in 1926, the computer in 1928 and the jet plane in 1930. The middle part of the 20th century brought new ways to help people get over diseases. They made people healthier and live longer. By this time most people had a very good life. Of course new inventions continued to be made. The world was known to man but the universe was not. Many began looking for ways to go into space. Russia made the first step, then the United States took another step. Since then other countries, for example, China and Japan, have made their steps into space.

Eating is important to everyone. But not many people have time to think about what to eat.
